Scutellaria Drummondii - Drummond's Skullcap

Scutellaria Drummondii – Drummond’s Skullcap

Named after botanist Thomas Drummond, who did most of his collecting in Texas.  A member of the mint family. Small but having attractive flowers, this is another low-lying plant. Quite common in Texas, it usually blooms from March through May, although this specimen was hanging in there in early June.
